Ken and Barbie Wedding Day Set Reproduction

Barbie Wedding Day Set Reproduction (official name "Wedding Day Barbie Doll and Ken Doll Giftset") was released in 2009 as part of the My Favorite Barbie series in celebration of Barbie's 50th Anniversary.

The set includes a reproduction of the first Barbie doll, a #1 Ponytail Barbie with black hair, wearing al fully accessorized Wedding Day Set #972 (1959-1962) and the first Ken doll, Ken with Flocked Hair (1961) wearing Tuxedo #787 (1961 - 1965) along with all of the originlal accessories.

Wedding Day Set was also reproduced in 1997 Wedding Day Set Reproduction. This is a much better looking reproduction than the 1997 version - the dress is much prettier and not so stiff looking.

They are in a "My Favorite Barbie" style box, with the date on the upper right. The box's date is 1959 although Ken wasn't released until 1961 - but it is a reproduction of a 1959 Barbie and ensemble. These are really nice display boxes and you can lift off the lid to see and touch the dolls.

Both Barbie and Ken also have wrist tags, just as their original counterparts did.
