Original 24 Liddle Kiddles

Original Liddle Kiddles - 1966

These were the first Liddle Kiddles introduced. They were made by Mattel from 1966 to 1968. They were packaged on cardboard inside a clear plastic bubble.

Each doll had rooted hair and came with accessories and a storybook, most of them came with a comb.

They are 2½ to 3½ inches tall, and have poseable arms and legs.

They are all marked : 1965, Mattel, Inc. Japan.

Each Kiddle is pictured and described below.

I am in the process of transferring each kiddle to its own page. The ones who have been moved will be shown here first with a link to their page. Thanks!

Babe Biddle's stock number is 3505 and she was sold in 1966 and 1967.  She is 3 inches tall and is one of the first ten Kiddles introduced in 1966.

She has dark brown rooted hair with bangs and blue eyes and came with a yellow convertible sports car with red interior and a clear plastic windshield.  The windshield is frequently missing.

Her clothing included a Gingham bodysuit with an attached blue skirt, a red jacket, a blue head scarf with red ties and blue T-strap shoes.  She also came with a yellow brush and comb set and a storybook.    Her book has Babe and Millie Middle on the cover.

Her red jacket has a white collar with blue stitching.  There is a tab closure at the waist with two gold beads.  A variation rarely found (pictured to the right) and thought to be from 1966, includes solid blue ties instead of red on her scarf, white stitching on her skirt and dark blue soft shoes with molded white laces.  Another variation occasionally seen is red and white striped ties on her scarf.

Baby Liddle Kiddle #3587 (1968) - Sears Exclusive

Baby Liddle Kiddle

Baby Liddle Kiddle is a Sears Exclusive Kiddle from 1968.  Because of that, she is one of the hardest Kiddles to find today.

Baby Liddle Kiddle

Baby is 2⅞" tall and is partially bald with blonde curly hair on top and blue eyes.  She has a pink bow in her hair and is wearing a two-piece pink sundress and comes with a blue baby carriage with white wheels.  She has a lace trimmed pillow made of the same fabric as her dress and also came with a piece of yellow and blue foam in the bottom of her carriage.  She also came with a dark pink comb and brush .  She came with a storybook, but she is not on the cover, I assume because she was a Sears exclusive - she and Beat-A-Diddle are the only two of the original 24 who are not on the cover of their accompanying storybooks.

There were several variations in the black floral print (different prints and/or sizes of flowers) of her outfit and a very rare red variation. (The red variation is pictured on the left.)

Because she was a Sears Exclusive, there were fewer made and she can be harder to find. Also, she did not have her own Kiddles storybook - it appears she came with a random book - as I have noticed that different MOC dolls seem to have different books.
