Vintage Barbie Zokko! #1820 (1968 - 1969)

This is one of my favorite Mod ensembles!  I love the "futuristic space look" (in a disco dress, no less!) from the late 60s!    The dress is made of a soft metallic knit with a blue gathered miniskirt and a sliver sleeveless bodice.  The silver metallic belt has an orange stripe.  

The boots are actually orange bots that have been painted silver except for a band at the top.  They are the short Mod squishy vinyl boots & should be marked Japan on the bottom near the heel.

The orange rectangular plastic dangle earring are very hard to find.  (They are the same style earrings as the pink ones in Print Aplenty #1686 (1967 - 1968).)

Mattel issued a reproduction of Zokko in the 2009 Twist 'n Turn Barbie Reproduction, in celebration of Barbie's 50th anniversary.
