Hello,
Thank you in advance for your time.

The first doll is only marked 1966 Mattel on the bottom. It was in with a Barbie doll and is wearing a Barbie dress. It measures 12" tall and looks to maybe have been made to look like a celebrity?

The second doll I believe is a Barbie. The head sure looks like one and is a pony tail I believe. It is fully unmarked and the only parts of the body that move are the head and arms. the chest all the way to the legs are one piece and don't move. This is why I was stumped to whether it is an early Barbie, experimental one or if the head and arms are on the wrong body. Any information you can give me would sure help. This doll came with a lot of barbie clothes and the popular black and white one piece swimsuit.

Thanks again for you time,
Chad Oakley

Hi Chad -
I do think the first one is a celebrity doll - I can't tell which one from the picture - maybe someone more familiar with them will know. The second one is a Barbie "clone" - there were several different types of Barbie "knock-offs" made in the early sixties.
