I need help to identify 3 dolls

by Jeannette
(Sudbury, Ontario Canada)

I think the first doll is a Francie doll, but she has a hole in the back of her head and a ponetail is sticking out. when I tried to remove the head to see if it had been changed on the body, the hair/ponytail is in the neck so the body is original to the doll. made in Japan and it has 2 dates-1966 then 1967 over Japan.
The second doll has 1966 and made in Japan on the buttocks-bendy legs and twist at waist.
The third doll is made by Louis Marx and has 1966 in roman numerals. this one also has a round hole in the back of the head.thanks, any help would be appreciated.

Hi Jeannette -
The first doll is Francie with Growin' Pretty Hair (1970 - 1973). The second looks like a Malibu Barbie. The third is a Barbie Clone - there were several different types of Barbie "knock-offs" made in the early sixties.

Malibu

The middle one is the Malibu Barbie, judging by the face it's the 1971 version (though can't be sure at such a distance) and her hair has been chopped quite badly.

The third doll is Marlene made by the Marx Toy Co in the 60's and came with a vanity set

Marlene by Marx

Hi, the 3rd doll is Marlene by Marx, I have 3 of those dolls and one with the box so I'm 100% sure. Debbie Drake and Polly Play Pose have the same bodies but their faces are different. I have learned from other collectors, that Debbie Drake always has white hair and I have some Polly Play Pose myself and their bodies is exactly like Marlenes.

I am wondering if the third doll is exercise queen Debbie Drake.
