mattel inc. 1958 philippines ?

I am wondering if she has been pieced together or if she is in original bad condition. I also want to know what she was wearing.
She has on here back the marking "mattel inc. 1958 philippines". She can not twist here weast and she has straight legs. I want to reroot here to here original state. ptr- hands

It is hard to tell from your photo - but I believe your Barbie doll has an American Girl Body and a Steffie head - maybe one of the PJ Dolls that has the Steffie face.

Bianca, this doll was sold in Europe and Canada. In Europe she was sold in 1979 wearing a cerise halter swimsuite, but in Canada she was sold in 1980 wearing various fashions. (leftover Best Buys, Marie Osmond fashions, Pretty Changes Barbie, etc.)

my grandmother has one with similar markings and face, she "if it is the same one" was wearing a bark blue knee length floral dress with two snaps in the back. I am trying to find out something about the doll she has for her as it was marked 1958 which is before the first barbie came out, and she said she did buy it before barbie was introduced. my grandmother said her doll was called house maid or something of the sort, not barbie.
