Need help figuring out if my bubble cut barbie is old or reproduction.

She is a very dark brown hair bubble cut with pale pink lips, bendable legs, straight arms. The question is about the markings on the right cheek. It reads c. 1958, Matel, Inc, U.S. Patented, U.S. Pat. Pending.
Any help would really be appreciated.

Yes she is original. And from the looks of her she may be one of the first from the line with this hair style. The second release had really really thick hair. It was hard st part it to see the scalp.

Yes, you have a vintage American Girl Bubble Cut Barbie which I think is hard to find from around 1965.
