Vintage Barbie Swirl Ponytail Dolls

Vintage Barbie Swirl Ponytail Dolls are named for the side sweep (or swirl) hairstyle, which replaced Barbie's bangs in 1964.  The red-head Swirl boxes originally had Titian for the hair color, this was eventually switched to Red.  Some transitional Swirls had the American Girl bend leg body, some have even been found in the American Girl swimsuit and box.  Vintage Barbie swirl ponytail dolls were some of the first to portray the glamour of Barbie and are highly sought after by collectors.
